Tartine Bianco - Los Angeles - Permanently Airtight
321 Reviews
$thirty and nether
Californian
The name Tartine Bianco stems from the collaboration between Chad Robertson, Liz Prueitt of Tartine, and Chris Bianco of Pizzeria Bianco. This relationship and the ideals it carries are vital in the philosophy behind the menu. The menu takes into consideration the many cultures that represent Los Angeles. With a large emphasis on locality and seasonality, Tartine Bianco volition provide its guests the highest quality ingredients, prepared with the best intentions and respect for those ingredients. They've carefully cultivated relationships with purveyors and farmers like Cairnspring Mills, which sources from local grain farmers, Cream Co. Meats which provides meat grown sustainably and with superior flavor in mind, and Bianco DiNapoli's California vine ripened and organically grown, canned tomatoes. The menu is designed to exist shared and should brainstorm with what Tartine is all-time known for… bread. The wine listing will alter regularly and, like the food, will reverberate the mood of the flavour.

Ii of u.s.a. ordered the grilled cheese sandwiches and didn't similar them at all. We thought the bill of fare was somewhat express equally to side dishes, but did gild the potato crisps and they were very salty and not great. We were disappointed besides in the limited selection in the bakery. I recall the Tartine in SF having such a great array of baked goods.

I'd eaten at Tartne Manufactory in San Francisco, so was eagerly awaiting the opening of the same in Los Angeles. The Tartine family did not disappoint. We had a lovely luncheon and yogurt and are looking frontward to trying dinner. Of course bread and pastries are on the list likewise. It was fabulous food in a wonderful infinite.

The food was bully but the hostess and service was so terrible it ruined the entire experience. There are astonishing restaurants everywhere in LA that still believe in hospitality, this team doesn't.

As always Tartine Bianco nailed it. We loved every dish we had, the servers were circumspect and you can't crush the energy and atmosphere of the space. The encarmine Mary's are super spicy so be warned. Standout dishes were the precious stone lettuce salad, tomato Tartine and fried craven sandwich. We also had an egg sandwich with spinach which was OK, but non every bit not bad as the last time we had the egg sandwich. And of course the bread plate with kefir butter which is a must. The bread is unreal. Kicking myself for not buying a loaf before I left.

The nutrient was of terrible quality. The patty cook, supposedly the signature dish consisted of a tastless rubber like patty. Panzanella only OK. The egg sandwich filling was bland. The banana pie dessert was very bad. The olive fizelle which at the South.F. Manufacture is to die for was substandard to say the least and even the croissants were not equally good. This place needs a lot of work!

THE Bread is the focus here and luckily, everything else on the bill of fare complements it well. Interesting wine and beverage list. Proficient overall food presentation and consistency. Service at dinner is good ( not bully), but it's a coincidental identify after all. Service for brunch is weak though... maybe explainable as I would not go to Downtown LA on a Sun forenoon to work either!

Great food and service. Just such a shame that the Row DTLA circuitous is so quiet. It was kind of like a ghost town when nosotros were there on a Dominicus evening. Really liked the food and service at Tartine. The portions were very generous and the menu was inventive. I'd recommend for brunch / luncheon in the future - I believe they have stopped doing dinner service.

This review is specifically for brunch on a Sunday, which was very disappointing. Nosotros ordered the smoked salmon tartine, which was fine; the quiche, which arrived at room-temp; and a side a bacon, which consisted of just four dinky extra cripsy pieces—non even hearty thick-cut slices like you might get at other establishments. Each of those items were but a picayune too small to be satisfying, and was overpriced for what you got. We also ordered two pastry items, which they forgot well-nigh because it had not arrived by the time we finished the other items. When we checked in with the server, she informed united states of america that they were out of one of the pastries that nosotros wanted (information technology was merely x:30am). The chocolate croissant that we ordered finally arrived, and it was utterly disappointing. It was not warm, it was not lite, it seemed like it was 1, maybe fifty-fifty ii days erstwhile. The service was slow and the servers were non circumspect. I don't program on coming dorsum for brunch.

Food was fantastic but service was horrible. My friend and I got our wine right away but our husbands waited xx minutes for cocktails. They had water to beverage through appetizers. Service was very slow. three hours plus dinner and nosotros had teens with the states that had schoolhouse the side by side day on a Sunday night which is why I made the resv early. Glad we did.

OUTRAGEOUS, they charge you $7 for three half slices of bread! The appetizers, hummus and ricotta cheese, do Not come with any breadstuff or annihilation to spread it on! And the wine pour is non even shut to 6oz!... at $xiv. The other entrees, tasted skilful, but non worth the drive to get to the location. Nothing outstanding, and too breadstuff centric for the price. The only affair worth going back for are the breads and pastries at the shop. I alive in San Francisco and go to the original Tartine. The nutrient there is tastier & reasonably priced.

Overall, a nice, pet friendly (patio) eating place. The hostess (Sun. Brunch) was very snobby and looked like she could intendance less, made usa feel unwelcome. Information technology left u.s.a. with a negative get-go impression. Food-wise, we enjoyed the morning bun (5/v) coffee (3/5), picayune jewel salad (3/5), egg sandwich (3/5), smoked salmon (iv/5), and patty melt (4/5). Prices are a flake steep for what you go but the ambiance is relaxing and comfortable. Service is attentive and friendly. We volition definitely return due to the pet friendly temper and ample free (ii hrs validated) parking.

The eclectic ambiance combined with the casual servers create an experience that resembles visiting a "pressed off center" friend for a family unit manner repast in an abased southern mansion. The nutrient is sugariness and savory. Every dish offered an unexpected burst of flavors that left you wondering, "how did they brand this?" Living without ordering and consuming the cornbread is NOT appropriate. One of LA'southward true gems.
